Support my challenge to end pancreatic cancer
This September, I'm giving up alcohol to honour the 75 Australians who die from pancreatic cancer each week.
I will also be attempting to walk 75kms a week. Thats a week people not a month 😊
Pancreatic cancer is the toughest common cancer, and because early-stage pancreatic cancer rarely causes symptoms, the survival rates are devastating.
I am very passionate about this cause having lost my mother on September 3rd 2019 at the age 77, 7 months after her diagnosis.
My dear friend Leanne is currently battling this disease at the age 59. She was diagnosed June 2024 and after 12 months of chemo and radiation, she has recently started a trial. I will he thinking of her every step along the way.
Right now, 12 Australians are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer every day. It is the 3rd biggest cancer killer in Australia.
But research can change this. Your support will fund groundbreaking pancreatic cancer research and improve survival rates.
So this September, I'm challenging myself to give up something I can't go without to fight this terrible disease.
